About The Position

Hertrich Family of Dealerships is hiring an experienced Automotive Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic for the new Truck Shop at Frederick Ford in Seaford. The full-time role offers a five-day work week with Sundays off. The nearly 10,000-square-foot facility is equipped to service light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks and features modern diagnostic equipment and tools. Technicians diagnose and repair diesel and automotive systems, inspect and maintain major components, complete accurate repair orders, communicate with Service Advisors, and keep the work area clean, safe, and organized. Requirements

Automotive and/or diesel repair experience.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Full set of tools.

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications are preferred; willingness to obtain them is also accepted.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel and automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and emissions systems.
Perform inspections, maintenance, and testing on major components.
Complete accurate repair orders and communicate with Service Advisors.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Stay current with evolving automotive technologies.
