About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Diagnostic Technician / Automotive Service Technician to join our team. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Automotive Technology, Automobile Servicing, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of technical training and automotive repair experience.
  • 3+ years of automotive repair and diagnostics experience preferred.
  • Experience in dealership, independent repair, or fleet maintenance environments.
  • Proven diagnostic experience on modern vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize scan tools, diagnostic software, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment to identify and test vehicle failures.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and develop effective test procedures.
  • Replace components as needed to demonstrate faults.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical failures, wiring concerns, and module communication issues.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical bulletins.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services including oil and filter changes, tire rotations and replacements, vehicle inspections, fluid services, brake maintenance, and scheduled manufacturer maintenance.
  • Conduct comprehensive safety and mechanical inspections.
  • Identify issues that may impact vehicle safety, reliability, performance, or regulatory compliance.
  • Recommend corrective actions and maintenance services.
  • Clearly document diagnostic findings and procedure details.
  • Collaborate with engineers, management, and customers to execute projects and deliver results.
