About The Position

Bud Clary Auto Group is hiring an experienced Automotive Detailer for Moses Lake Honda. The position cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles according to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances. The role also helps maintain showroom and stock vehicles and a clean, safe work area. Driving is an essential function, and employees must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company insurance standards.

Requirements

• Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record consistent with company insurance standards throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Wash vehicle exteriors, clean interior and exterior windows, and wipe down doorjambs.
• Apply wax to vehicle bodies and wipe or buff surfaces.
• Vacuum vehicle interiors to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and devices.
• Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather, and treat fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals.
• Clean engines and engine compartments using steam-cleaning equipment and cleaning agents.
• Use special-purpose cleaners to remove materials not removed by normal cleaning procedures, following manufacturer recommendations.
• Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, including dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
• Restore the appearance of engine areas, rugs, upholstery, and painted surfaces.
• Use touch-up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials.
• Use appropriate eye, hand, and body protection when handling products that require it.
• Apply dressing to tires and tire wells.
• Replace missing or defective small parts.
• Maintain showroom and stock vehicles.
• Ensure proper stickers are displayed in vehicle windows and remove window stickers from sold vehicles.
• Keep the work area neat and clean.
• Operate all tools and equipment safely.
• Work as a team player, communicate effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Drive as required for the position and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
