About The Position

Sunset Kia of Sarasota is hiring an experienced Automotive Detailer for its detailing department as it prepares to open a new facility. The role involves detailing vehicles for sale, delivery, and customers to dealership standards, including routine and advanced services. The detailer will also help maintain quality standards, train and lead the detail team, and keep the shop clean, organized, and safe. Supplies and shop tools are provided, and steady work is available. Compensation is commission-based, with pay based on experience and described as offering strong earning potential. Candidates must complete and pass a background check and drug screen before hire.

Requirements

Automotive detailing experience.
Flexibility and ability to perform all types of detailing work.
Valid driver's license.
Verifiable work history.
Ability to perform physical work for extended periods.
Desire to develop and learn.
Dependability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
Availability Monday through Saturday.
Must complete and pass a background check and drug screen before hire.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean vehicle interiors and exteriors for sale, delivery, or customers according to dealership standards.
Use power tools, waxes, cleaning solvents, and protective coatings to restore vehicles to like-new condition.
Perform advanced detailing, including wet sanding to remove scratches, buffing dull areas, and removing water spots.
Perform quality control and train or lead the detail team to maintain high quality standards.
Keep the shop area neat, clean, and organized, and follow safety procedures and requirements.
Perform other duties as required.
