About The Position

Island Honda is hiring an Automotive Detailer to clean, inspect, and restore vehicles to new or like-new condition. The role includes preparing vehicles for service, applying vehicle protection packages, retrieving customer vehicles, checking completed repairs before delivery, and maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas. No experience is required; hands-on training is provided. The position requires open availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong attention to detail.
Sense of urgency.
Excellent communication skills.
Acceptable driving record.
Valid driver's license in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them promptly and professionally.
Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors, including engines and engine compartments.
Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects and restore the appearance of engine areas, rugs, upholstery, and painted surfaces.
Prepare and apply vehicle protection packages.
Complete work assignments in accordance with applicable safety measures.
Restore vehicle appearance to new or like-new condition to the best of one's ability.
Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot once bills are paid or as directed.
Review repairs before delivering vehicles to customers and report work issues to a supervisor.
Keep the parking lot and work area clean, neat, and organized.
Report situations or conditions that jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, employees, or customers to management.
Maintain a valid local-area driver's license and promptly inform management of changes to its status.
