About The Position

The Automotive Detailer cleans the interior and exterior of new and used vehicles for the lot and/or delivery to customers. The role involves washing vehicles, cleaning engines, buffing or polishing paint, and applying specialty cleaners as needed. The Detailer must complete assigned training, including OSHA right-to-know training, follow company policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

The work environment is usually loud, and the position frequently involves bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and scrubbing. Employees are frequently exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to complete tasks independently and as part of a team.
• Good work ethic, organization, and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a polishing wheel.
• One year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Wash vehicles using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Clean engines to remove grease and other materials.
• Buff or polish paint as necessary.
• Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove materials that normal cleaning procedures do not remove, following the product manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Complete training as directed by the supervisor, including OSHA right-to-know training.
• Follow policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
