About The Position

The Automotive Billing & Accounting Specialist works closely with sales representatives, the accounting team, and the Dealership Controller to ensure each car deal is completed accurately and on time. The role is also responsible for the dealership’s accounts receivable process and for maintaining positive relationships with employees and management. The position primarily works at a desk in the accounting office and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

Process used-car deals promptly, ensuring money is received, products are included with funds set aside, and each deal’s front and back ends are reconciled.
Update the gross log and review the cash/contracts schedule.
Reconcile the we-owe and inventory schedules and write payoff checks.
Manage accounts receivable, including printing and sending statements, reconciling accounts, making A/R deposits, answering inquiries, following up on aged receivables, and updating spreadsheets.
Post internal repair orders.
Conduct the daily service deposit and manage the schedule.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance and perform essential job functions during scheduled hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Keep the work area tidy and organized.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
