About The Position

The Assistant Manager is a full-time, hourly position whose hours are based on business needs. This key holder serves as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence or when business demands require it. The role assists in managing an automotive retail service and repair store to meet or exceed service standards and achieve performance and profitability goals. The Assistant Manager helps ensure teammates deliver exceptional 5 Star service through effective communication about vehicle issues and proposed solutions, while meeting guest expectations for timing and quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Ability to problem solve and manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
Communication skills to communicate effectively with teammates and guests.
Complete all Monro-required training within the provided guidelines and timing.
Current valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Nice To Haves

ASE certification.
State Inspection License, where applicable.

Responsibilities

Schedule guest appointments to use technician abilities effectively and complete vehicle services and repairs efficiently and on time.
Help achieve sales goals by informing guests about and recommending tire and service products and promotions.
Address guest needs involving sales, service, complaints, and adjustments.
Build guest relationships to maximize customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Assist technicians in communicating repair and service needs to guests.
Maintain the store in excellent, clean, guest-ready condition according to Monro standards.
Assist with inventory management, including overseeing the pulling, unloading, and stocking of tires and parts.
Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services and repairs as needed.
Help organize store workflow so technician skill levels are used efficiently and vehicle services and repairs are completed effectively and on time according to Monro standards.
Follow company policies and procedures and governmental standards, including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA standards.
Consistently use required safety standards set forth in training, policies, and procedures.
Perform Store Manager functions as business needs dictate.
Complete other duties as assigned and required by the direct supervisor.
