About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, hourly position whose hours are based on business needs. As a key holder, the Assistant Manager serves as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence or when business demand requires it. The role assists in managing the operations of an automotive retail service and repair store to meet or exceed service standards and achieve Monro’s performance and profitability goals. The Assistant Manager helps ensure teammates deliver exceptional 5 Star service through effective communication about vehicle issues and proposed solutions, while meeting guest expectations for service time commitments and quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Ability to problem-solve and manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
Communication skills to communicate effectively with teammates and guests.
Complete all Monro-required training within the provided guidelines and timing.
Current valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Responsibilities

Schedule guest appointments to optimize technician capacity and complete vehicle services and repairs efficiently and on time.
Support sales goals by informing guests about and recommending tires, service products, and promotions; address guest sales, service, complaint, and adjustment needs; and build relationships to support satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Assist technicians in communicating repair and service needs to guests.
Maintain the store in excellent, clean, and guest-ready condition in accordance with Monro standards.
Assist with inventory management, including oversight of pulling tires and parts, unloading inventory, and stocking.
Direct and oversee other technicians and assist with services and repairs as needed.
Help organize store workflow so technician skill levels are efficiently used and services and repairs are completed effectively and on time in accordance with Monro operating standards.
Follow company policies and procedures, governmental standards, environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA standards; consistently use required safety practices.
Perform Store Manager functions as business needs dictate.
Perform other duties as assigned and required by the direct supervisor.
