About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, hourly position whose schedule is based on business needs. As a store key holder, the Assistant Manager serves as manager on duty when the Store Manager is absent or business demand requires it. The role assists with managing an automotive retail service and repair store to meet or exceed service standards and achieve Monro’s performance and profitability goals. The Assistant Manager helps ensure teammates deliver exceptional 5 Star service by communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions effectively and consistently meeting guest expectations for timing and quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Ability to problem-solve and manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
Communication skills to effectively communicate with teammates and guests.
Complete all Monro-required training within the provided guidelines and timing.
Current valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Nice To Haves

ASE certification and a State Inspection License, where applicable.

Responsibilities

Schedule guest appointments to optimize technician capabilities and complete vehicle services and repairs efficiently and on time.
Support sales goals by informing guests about and recommending tire and service products and promotions; address guest needs involving sales, service, complaints, and adjustments; and build relationships that support satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Help technicians communicate repair and service needs to guests.
Keep the store in excellent condition, clean, and guest-ready in accordance with Monro standards.
Assist with inventory management, including overseeing the pulling of tires and parts, unloading deliveries, and stocking inventory.
Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services and repairs as needed.
Help organize store workflow so technician skill levels are used efficiently and services and repairs are completed effectively and on time according to Monro standards.
Follow company policies and procedures and governmental standards, including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA standards; consistently use required safety practices.
Perform Store Manager functions as business needs dictate.
Perform other duties as assigned and required by the direct supervisor.
