About The Position

The Automotive Title Clerk performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties associated with vehicle documentation, such as titles, registrations, license plates, and other vehicle or owner information.

Requirements

  • At least TWO YEARS of experience in automotive dealership accounting and titling
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Capable of handling multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Process all new and/or used vehicle registrations in the state in which they will be titled
  • Prepare tax and title documents
  • Verify that funds have been collected before processing title applications
  • Process paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work
  • Stay abreast of county and state title regulation requirements
  • Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Understand the importance of deadlines and the sense of urgency to complete tasks
  • Assist customers with any questions regarding their registration and titling
  • Performs other duties as assigned
