About The Position

Tooele Motor Company is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our growing dealership team in Tooele, Utah. As an Accounting Clerk, you’ll help ensure the financial operations of the dealership run smoothly by maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and supporting multiple departments throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Previous accounting, bookkeeping, office administration, or automotive dealership experience preferred
  • Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles
  • Experience with dealership management systems (Dealertrack, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines
  • High level of integrity and professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive dealership accounting experience
  • Experience with dealership management systems (Dealertrack, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Post vehicle deals and maintain accurate dealership financial records
  • Prepare and reconcile daily deposits and cash receipts
  • Process invoices and vendor payments
  • Assist with title paperwork and deal documentation as needed
  • Reconcile bank statements, schedules, and dealership accounts
  • Maintain organized accounting files and financial records
  • Assist with month-end closing activities
  • Respond to internal accounting and administrative requests
  • Work closely with the sales, service, parts, and management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Perform general office and administrative duties as assigned
