About The Position

Penske Automotive Group is looking for an Automotive Accounting Clerk to join their team in Duluth, Georgia. This role involves obtaining, entering, and maintaining financial data and accounting records in accordance with company policy and procedures, contributing to the effective and efficient operation of dealerships and delivering extraordinary customer experiences.

Requirements

  • 1 year of accounting experience within the automotive industry is required.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills relevant to an accounting clerk position, with at least one year of recent applicable experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain, enter, and maintain financial data and accounting records.
  • Compile and sort documents substantiating business transactions.
  • Prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
  • Comply with all regulations that affect the accounting department.
  • Perform tasks accurately, fairly, and in accordance with local, state, and federal statutes, as well as company policies.
