About The Position

Kohler Co. manufacturing teams are hiring Automation Technicians II to join a culture dedicated to safety and innovation, with opportunities for advancement within their Sheridan facility. This role involves repairing and maintaining computer-controlled systems and robotic devices to reduce human intervention and maximize efficiency. Technicians will perform routine checks, monitor systems, isolate problems, and conduct repairs, determining if issues are electrical or mechanical. They will also maintain, modify, and update drawings using Auto-Cad and Inventor software, train operators on system changes, and review PLC programming.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in the US without restrictions or sponsorship.
  • Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position.

  • Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes.
  • Consistent attendance and work performance.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Robotics and PLC controllers.
  • Knowledge of Auto-Cad and Inventor Software.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred – pick tickets, labels, etc.
  • Ability to lift over 40 pounds over shoulders.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds to waist level with aids (hoist).

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain the computer-controlled systems and robotic devices used within the facility to reduce human intervention and maximize efficiency.
  • Perform routine checks on automated systems, monitor systems, and isolate problems and perform repair.
  • Determine if problem is electrical or mechanical from the computer system controlling the processor or schematics associated with equipment.
  • Repair or replace any necessary components, such as sensors, cabling, valves, motors, or electrical wiring.
  • Troubleshoot and correct problems by making mechanical adjustments and/or guiding others in those corrections.
  • Using Auto-Cad and inventor Software you must maintain, modify, and update drawings when changes are made within the Automation systems.
  • Train operators when changes are made within the Automaton systems.
  • Review and understand programmable logic controller (PLC) programming.
