About The Position

As an Automation Specialist at OuterBox, you will be a key player in designing sophisticated marketing automation workflows that deliver highly personalized customer experiences. You'll build and execute campaigns, bringing personalized experiences to life. Your passion for innovation and data-driven optimization will be essential as you collaborate with Email Marketing Specialists and the User Experience team to drive exceptional results for our clients.

Requirements

4+ years of experience preferred. Demonstration of exemplary performance may supersede the experience requirement.
3+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement (MCE ) and AMPscript
Experience with relational databases and SQL
Working knowledge of HTML / CSS to complement drag-and-drop email builds
Proficient understanding of email marketing and KPIs
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, as well as visually through diagrams and concepts)
Excellent problem-solving skills to create innovative solutions to complex problems
Attention to detail and time management skills
Actively stays up to date with the latest trends in email marketing and automation.
Must be located in the USA.

Nice To Haves

Additional experience in other Email Service Platforms (ESP) such as Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, SharpSpring
Knowledgeable about cross-inbox & cross-device compatibility
Understanding of email authentication protocols
Good grasp of web analytics, experience with Google Analytics

Responsibilities

Design and implement sophisticated workflows that drive personalized customer experiences through complex triggers and various audience creation methods, from Salesforce entry events to querying relational databases with SQL.
Collaborate with the team to ideate on customer lifecycle stages and segmentation strategies, contributing to a comprehensive audience engagement roadmap for clients.
Maintain open and effective communication with team members and stakeholders to align on automation strategies, workflow objectives, and performance insights, ensuring all plans meet campaign goals and marketing objectives.
Continuously monitor the performance of all active workflows and automations to ensure quality and effectiveness, and make optimization recommendations as necessary.
Maintain robust data models and attribute definitions, enabling scalable audience segmentation and supporting dynamic content personalization for campaigns and landing pages.
Ensure all automated marketing practices comply with legal standards and industry best practices, maintaining a focus on data privacy and system reliability.
