This position is for an Automated Machine Operator on the 1st shift, specifically working with a rocker mill. The role involves maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company policies, and performing all functions related to machine operation, setup, and changeover. Responsibilities include keeping machines in good working order, communicating effectively with supervisors and technical services, and staying updated on process changes. The operator will also be responsible for tasks such as butt welding, loading new coils, making tooling adjustments, re-teaching robotic points, performing troubleshooting and minor repairs, and assisting skilled trades and other operators. Accurate production and quality reporting, filling out equipment logs, and participating in continuous improvement activities are also key aspects of the role. The position requires the ability to safely and efficiently perform all assignments, meet quality standards, rework product as needed, and attend future training. Additionally, the operator must be able to operate a forklift at level 4 or above, perform loading/unloading and assembly operations, and train future individuals in the position. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
