About The Position

The Auto Test Driver operates and tests autonomous vehicles on public roads in Dallas, Texas, while transporting passengers to their destinations. Drivers monitor vehicle performance and remain prepared to take control when needed. The role is full-time and on-site, pays $25.00 per hour, and offers multiple shifts and schedule options. Available shifts include 6:00 AM–2:30 PM and 4:30 PM–1:00 AM; additional shifts may be available. The role offers an opportunity to work in the autonomous vehicle industry and contribute to the future of transportation.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. driver's license held for at least 3 years.
• Clean driving record.
• No DUI, DWI, or drug- or alcohol-related offenses within the last 5 years.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Quick decision-making and reaction skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfort driving in varying weather and traffic conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Autonomous vehicle, electric vehicle, or professional driving experience.
• Rideshare driving experience, such as Uber or Lyft, or taxi or delivery-app experience.
• Driving instructor experience or a safety-focused driving background.
• Knowledge of vehicle technology or control systems.
• Defensive driving certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive and test autonomous vehicles on public roads.
• Monitor vehicle performance and remain ready to take control when needed.
• Follow traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Record driving observations and report issues.
• Communicate with riders, engineers, and operations teams.
• Respond safely to unexpected road, traffic, or pedestrian situations.
