About The Position

As the Shipper/Receiver/Counterperson, the individual will be performing Shipping/Receiving duties and Counter duties depending on the daily business needs. They will be required to efficiently check, pick, pack, receive, ship, stock and organize automotive parts. They will help maintain the inventory and cleanliness of the store. They will be required to dispatch drivers and reliably deliver parts to our valued customers. They will also be required to provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using their own automotive knowledge, the company systems and parts catalogues. The successful candidate will also assist with completing any necessary paperwork in an accurate manner. Effective use of resources, such as the company database and parts catalogue will be required.

Requirements

  • G Driver’s License and clean 3-year abstract required
  • Aftermarket automotive parts knowledge/experience an asset
  • Picking, receiving, shipping, inventory control and stock maintenance experience is an asset
  • Customer service experience an asset
  • Basic math skills and ability to sort alphanumerically
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use Outlook, online database and web-based training)

Responsibilities

  • Support all store warehouse duties (picking orders, receiving, inventory control, shipping, stocking and organizing)
  • Coordinate the drivers for effective dispatching of vehicles
  • Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto delivery vehicles
  • Efficiently deliver parts, being mindful of customer requests
  • Help control inventory and ensure product availability
  • Provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using their own automotive knowledge, the company systems and parts catalogues
  • Answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner
  • Conduct follow-up calls to customers as necessary
  • Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate manner
  • Collaborate with the main warehouse to resolve stock-related concerns
  • Maintain a clean and organized store by keeping racking, shelves, pallet areas, workstations and shared spaces neat (organize products, sweep, dust, sanitize and mop)
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team
