About The Position

AutoNation is seeking a motivated Automotive Windshield and Auto Glass Installer to install auto glass and windshields on inventory vehicles and vehicles sold to customers. The role is suited to someone seeking a long-term career opportunity in a fast-paced automotive environment. Technicians are expected to deliver high-quality installations that meet dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances, working without direct or continual supervision. AutoNation offers factory training, OEM certification support, and opportunities for career advancement across its nationwide locations.

Requirements

• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record that can be maintained.
• Passion for cars and customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• General mechanical skills.
• Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Manual dexterity, good judgment, and ability to safely operate power and hand tools and other machinery.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various work schedules, days, and hours of operation.
• Ability to provide own tools needed for auto glass services.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school experience.
• At least three years of experience as a specialty auto glass technician in an aftermarket business or auto dealership.

Responsibilities

• Install auto glass and windshields on inventory and sold customer vehicles.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in auto glass installation.
• Ensure installations meet dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances.
• Perform assigned work independently and be willing to work on all assigned jobs.
• Provide the tools needed to perform auto glass services.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality installations with attention to detail.
• Follow safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, dust, and harsh chemicals.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in interactions with customers, coworkers, and suppliers.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
