About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced Auto Field Adjuster to join their field estimating team in the Lynwood Compton, California area. This is a field-based, territory-specific position covering areas such as South Gate, Watts, and Downey, California, among others. The role involves creating comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims, leading to proper disposition. The Auto Field Adjuster will act as a peer mentor, demonstrating mastery of processes and technical expertise. Key qualifications include experience in auto damage assessment, proficiency in CCC One estimating software, strong negotiation and time management skills, and a customer-focused approach to deliver exceptional service.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
• Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.

Responsibilities

• Creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition.
• Interpreting regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiating settlements, making settlement payments and documenting all activities in the most complex of files.
• Applying mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assisting leadership in formal and ad hoc training.
• Exhibiting mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• Building mastered relationships with both internal and external customers.
