Auto Body Technician Helper
About The Position
Crash Champions is hiring an Auto Body Technician Helper to assist a lead body technician with collision repair work. The position includes helping with complete vehicle tear-down, removing damaged components and evaluating damage, installing new parts, organizing parts for repair orders, and performing light body work. The role is paid on a commission/flag-rate structure. Flag pay is guaranteed to meet local minimum-wage requirements for all hours worked each week. The stated compensation range reflects average flag pay for a typical full-time employee in this position.
Requirements
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours a week.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods and regularly position or move oneself to repair vehicles over and under them.
- Ability to communicate effectively and take direction from superiors.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead body technician with 100% tear-down.
- Remove damaged components and assist in evaluating damage.
- Assist with installation of new parts.
- Organize parts for repair orders.
- Assist with light body work.
