About The Position
The Auto Body Technician Helper assists a lead body technician with collision repair work, including tearing down vehicles, removing damaged components, evaluating damage, installing new parts, organizing parts for repair orders, and performing light body work. The role is full-time at 40 hours per week and is paid on a commission/flag-rate structure. Flag pay is guaranteed to meet local minimum wage requirements for all hours worked each week. The posted compensation range represents average flag pay for a typical full-time employee.
Requirements
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours a week.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods and regularly position or move oneself to repair vehicles over and under them.
- Ability to communicate effectively and take direction from superiors.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead body technician with 100% tear down.
- Remove damaged components and assist in evaluating damage.
