About The Position

Carvana is hiring entry-level Auto Body Repair Technicians (autobody preppers) to perform light bodywork on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. Work includes preparing, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. Training programs are offered for entry-level employees so skills and pay can progress with the company. The role requires at least one year of professional automotive bodywork experience. The posting advertises first- and second-shift availability but does not specify a particular shift schedule.

Carvana reconditions vehicles at centers around the country, inspecting, perfecting, and photographing them before they are listed on the company website. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.
• The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
