About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Paint Prepper to prepare vehicles for paintwork at one of its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. The posting describes prepping work such as sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging or tear down, and buffing. It also describes priming vehicles and final sanding before painting, along with buffing, touch-up, paint mixing, and airbrush work. Training programs are available for employees in entry-level positions to support skill and pay progression. The position is full-time on second shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Compensation is $23–$27 per hour based on experience. Applicants must pass a complete background check; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional automotive painting experience, as stated in the main role description.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Pass a complete background check.

Perform paint touch-up, paint mixing, and airbrush work.
