About The Position

The Department of the Auditor General (DAG) is looking for motivated self-starting individuals to join their team of fiscal watchdogs. This position is eligible for student loan forgiveness and provides excellent health, savings, and retirement benefits. As an Auditor 1 within the Bureau of County Audits, Liquid Fuels Division, you will be supporting the review of government agencies and other organizations that receive state funds to ensure they follow laws, regulations, and auditing standards.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited college/university with an area of concentration in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in accounting, auditing, or a closely related field.
Possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
Able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

Learn and use laws, regulations, guidelines, and auditing standards in daily work
Locate, review, and evaluate documents, data, and other information
Create and access audit work papers, findings, and reports using computer systems
Study accounts, controls, and records to assess compliance and performance
Complete administrative and audit reports within required timeframes
Assist with tasks at audit sites, including handling materials and working with audit teams
