The Audit & Assurance team provides traditional attestation services as well as accounting and consulting on applying accounting principles. Audit & Assurance professionals demonstrate deep specialization through an understanding of the market and business challenges their clients face and a dedication to audit quality. This specific opportunity is for talented professionals for full-time or seasonal work arrangement options, seeking Audit Managers with experience in the Public Sector industry vertical. As an Audit Manager, you will further learn to lead, gain deep industry insight, and continue to grow relationships. With access to many resources and the support of executive leadership and your team, this role involves responsibility for client relationships, leading multiple teams, providing performance feedback, anticipating and addressing client concerns, resolving problems, promoting new ideas and business solutions, encouraging creativity, growing expertise, continuing to learn the latest developments, and staying on top of industry developments and their effects on client's competitive position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recent and relevant public accounting external audit experience.
  • Experience working with Non-Profit and Higher Education clients.
  • Organization, communication, technical, time management, and accounting and auditing skills.
  • Ability to interact with clients, prospects, all levels of staff, and colleagues in a professional fashion.
  • Ability to multi-task since planning, executing, and wrapping up various engagements may have to be performed concurrently.
  • Experience supervising engagement team members and instructing them on completing assigned task.
  • Must be a licensed CPA in your aligned home office state or be able to acquire a reciprocal one for that state.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed.
  • Ability to travel to various client sites.

  • Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility of client relationships with a variety of clients to build positive relationships.
  • Leading multiple teams and providing performance feedback to all members of those teams when engagements end.
  • Anticipating and addressing client concerns and resolving problems as they arise.
  • Promoting new ideas and business solutions that result in extended services to existing clients.
  • Continue learning the latest developments and the firm's standards and policies.
  • Staying on top of industry developments and their effects on client's competitive position.
