About The Position

Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP, a growing midsize CPA firm specializing in the audits of labor unions and their related fringe benefit funds, is seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time experienced Audit Manager focusing on Quality Control. The firm has three locations: Hauppauge, NY (home office), Iselin, NJ, and Floral Park, NY. This position requires a CPA license and offers remote capability, a flexible work schedule, and encourages a work/life balance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressively challenging Public Accounting experience
• Experience with labor unions, multi-employer employee benefit funds preferred but not required
• Ability to research complex accounting and auditing issues
• Time management skills
• Detail oriented
• CPA license

Responsibilities

• Detailed review of engagements
• Compliance with GAAP
• Review of tax returns: 990's, LM-2's, 5500's
• Functioning as a Firm resource on the research of technical issues involving complex accounting, auditing, and other regulatory matters
• Preparing position papers and implementation guidance regarding newly issued technical pronouncements
• Busy season hours requirements
