About The Position

Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP is a growing midsize CPA firm specializing in the audits of labor unions and their related fringe benefit funds. We have three locations: Hauppauge, NY (home office), Iselin, NJ, and Floral Park, NY. We are currently seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time experienced Audit Manager to focus on Quality Control. This position requires a CPA license and offers the opportunity to work at a firm that encourages a work/life balance.

Requirements

CPA license
10+ years of progressively challenging Public Accounting experience
Ability to research complex accounting and auditing issues
Time management skills
Detail oriented

Nice To Haves

Experience with labor unions, multi-employer employee benefit funds preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Detailed review of engagements
Compliance with GAAP
Review of tax returns: 990's, LM-2's, 5500's
Functioning as a Firm resource on the research of technical issues involving complex accounting, auditing, and other regulatory matters
Preparing position papers and implementation guidance regarding newly issued technical pronouncements
Busy season hours requirements
