Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a technical/engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of Distech Controls, Niagara Framework, EC-Net 4 or similar systems
  • Familiarity with Q-SYS, Cameras, Microphones, Displays
  • AutoCAD, CMMS, Microsoft Office
  • HVAC, Electrical Panels, RTUs, VAVs, Lighting Controls
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Facilities team and/or a General or Specialized Contracting capacity
  • Minium 3 years’ experience with Building Management Systems
  • Minimum 1 year experience installing AV equipment
  • In-depth understanding of general and specialized construction methods and practices
  • Demonstrated history of interfacing with building systems and the management thereof
  • Proven success in working cross-functionally both internally and externally
  • Must have strong verbal skills with consultative professional business acumen
  • Proficient writing skills
  • Creative thinker; comfortable with ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of the AV deployment team.
  • Represent AV, as appropriate, in meetings involving both internal and external customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the AV, IT, Facilities, and Associate Experience teams to ensure best in class user experiences.
  • Responsible for day-to-day interfacing with internal and external affiliated trades and vendors.
  • Responsible for discovery and documentation of general contracting, AV installation, integration with building management systems, and infrastructure needs and challenges for developing or in-flight installations.
  • Provide internal teams and stakeholders with guidance, analysis, and recommendations for developing or in-flight installations.
  • Actively track and analyze operational data/trends and make recommendations to improve installation processes, timelines, and staffing needs.
  • Provide guidance for best-practices for general and specialized contracting needs and services.
  • Ensure that deployment teams adhere to safety standards and practices.
  • Supporting the Manager of AV & Collaboration in gathering voice of the customer input and feedback, conducting site surveys and engaging in related discovery and analysis, making specific and detailed recommendations for efficient installation processes, participating in system design as appropriate, coordinating installation activities with internal and external teams and trades, participating in system commissioning as appropriate.
  • Lead deployment team in installation of best-in-class AV & collaboration room environments.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure daily tracking, monitoring, and reporting of developing or in-flight installation activities.
  • Assist installation in a hands-on capacity as appropriate.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with internal and external teams to ensure timely delivery of AV equipment and services.
  • In conjunction with AV, IT and Facilities teams and leaderships, develop solutions for integration of AV systems into BMS systems.
  • Discover and document related BMS systems and platform in Acuity spaces.
  • Research emerging internal and external building management services and systems.
  • Provide thought leadership for integration of BMS and collaboration deployments with an emphasis on automation.
