About The Position

Atlanta Hearing Associates (AHA) is seeking an Audiology Assistant to join their team in Milledgeville, GA. The audiology assistant will provide assistance to the on-site Georgia-licensed Audiologist in a legal and appropriate manner to make the office more productive and efficient. These services include, providing basic diagnostic services, and follow-up hearing aid care, and in addition to other clerical and administrative tasks, Audiology Assistants may also perform duties other than their traditional audiological responsibilities to ensure continuity of operations throughout AHA. Summary of General Duties: AHA Audiology Assistants are Georgia-Licensed professionals who after receiving proper training, work alongside our Georgia-Licensed Audiologists to provide assistance in the evaluation and/or treatment of those suffering from disorders associated with hearing loss. An Audiologists Assistant’s main role is to support the Audiologist by carrying out routine tasks. This allows the supervising Audiologist to be available for assessing and treating ailments that require a higher level of diagnostic skill. Audiology Assistants improve access to patient care by increasing the availability of audiological services, as well as increasing productivity by reducing wait times and enhancing patient satisfaction. Summary of Specific Duties: Audiology Assistants assist established patients with hearing aid problems and maintenance. They have the ability to perform clean and checks, basic repairs on hearing aids, change tubing, and counsel patients on care and use of their hearing aids. Audiologist Assistants are required to document their clinical activities in the patient chart for supervising Audiologist to review. Notify the supervising Audiologist of any problems with patient care, equipment, or supplies in the office. Audiology Assistants handle variety of clerical and scheduling responsibilities: Scheduling patient appointments Ensure routine maintenance of office and test equipment Monitor schedules and make changes to ensure the office runs efficiently Cleaning multi-patient use audiological supplies and devices Ordering supplies for front and back office Maintain inventory
