About The Position

The Audio Visual Technician will work with clients to meet all programming and audio-visual needs. This role involves setting up, operating, breaking down, and cleaning up audio, visual, and lighting equipment for various events such as meetings, conferences, events, and concerts. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for setting up tables and chairs for Student Center and Campus Organizational events, ensuring equipment security, and maintaining the storeroom. The position reports to the Audio-Visual Systems Manager.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled at SFSU with a minimum of 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates.
• Ability to maintain a professional while working under pressure and meeting deadlines with a constantly changing event schedule.
• Ability to work flexible hours is a must, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasionally late night.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating and maintaining sound reinforcement, video, lighting, and general audio – visual equipment preferred.
