FZ is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is focused on serving customers throughout Michigan, Tennessee, and the Carolinas. FZ is looking for an AV Technician for the Charleston office. This role is responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining AV systems at customer locations. As the face of FZ to our customers, you serve as the front-line resource for project questions and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ Years of AV Experience in a Commercial Application.
  • Ability to read Blueprints and Schematics.
  • Understanding of Networked AV and Cloud-based IT/AV Systems.
  • Ability to travel regionally to project sites as needed.
  • Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Audio, Crestron, Visio, Video Conferencing Systems, Microsoft Lynx, Skype for Business, and/or QSC Q-sys is desired.
  • Industry Certifications such as AVIXA and Crestron is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, servicing, and maintaining AV systems at customer locations.
  • Serving as the front-line resource for project questions and troubleshooting.
  • Flagging and communicating potential risks and unsafe conditions.
  • Managing time well but can work well under pressure.
  • Solving problems and performing work efficiently and to quality standards.
  • Prioritizing, risk assessment, communication, and multi-tasking.
