About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Audio Visual Tech to set up audio-visual equipment for functions and events, track and care for equipment, and consult with sales managers and meeting planners about AV needs for future bookings. The role supports banquet operations and guest service while helping deliver seamless sound, lighting, and visual presentations. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

• General knowledge of the practices and procedures of a convention center, hotel conference services, and/or banquet department.
• Ability to use various types of audio-visual equipment owned by Kalahari Resorts or provided by outsourced vendors.
• Ability to operate in-house equipment, including telephone systems, internet, sound, lighting, and computer equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as an audio technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Banquet Team in operating in a for-profit environment while delivering guest service that helps the resort meet or exceed budgeted expectations.
• Set up and tear down audio-visual equipment for assigned functions and events.
• Complete all audio-visual setups for the following day.
• Provide audio-visual and technical consultation to sales managers, meeting planners, and customers about future bookings and equipment needs when requested.
• Respond to and assist with audio-visual-related help calls.
• Track, protect, and care for audio-visual assets.
