The Office of Legal Affairs is a statutorily created distinct budgetary office of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Public Safety Services. The Office of Legal Affairs is responsible, in accordance with applicable laws and under the supervision and direction of the Deputy Secretary, for providing legal consultation and representation to the other offices within the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Public Safety Services. We’re looking for attorneys to join our legal division — a proactive, people-focused team working to attract and support the talent that drives our mission forward. The attorney will serve as an attorney/legal advisor in the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Public Safety Services, Office of Legal Affairs, Office of Motor Vehicle Section. An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies: Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to follow, reinforce, adapt, or develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state legal requirements, State Civil Service rules, and organizational policies.
