About The Position

The Athletics Student Assistant - Academics checks student-athlete attendance in assigned classes using class rosters. The role involves accessing buildings across campus throughout the week, arriving 10 minutes before each class and remaining 15 minutes after it ends, and logging and sending attendance information to a supervisor. The assistant also stands by classroom doors to identify student-athletes and supports the Student Success Team with administrative and operational duties.

Requirements

• Input and organize data using software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Teamworks.
• Be punctual for classes and appointments to ensure accurate class attendance checks.

Responsibilities

• Use class rosters to check student-athlete attendance in assigned classes.
• Access buildings across campus throughout the week.
• Arrive at classes 10 minutes before they start and remain for 15 minutes after they end.
• Log attendance and send it to the supervisor.
• Stand by classroom doors and identify student-athletes.
• Support the Student Success Team with administrative and operational duties.
• File, organize, and maintain Student Success Department records.
• Communicate with the supervisor and Student Success staff.
