About The Position
The Student Writer assists Hardin-Simmons University’s Department of University Marketing with written content, including press releases, news stories, Range Rider segments, advertisements, program and student spotlight articles, and other assignments. The role contributes to writing, editing, proofreading, and planning news and marketing content, and collaborates with the University Marketing team to brainstorm and discuss additional editorial and news content. Strong writing skills and the ability to meet regular deadlines are required. Writing samples may be requested.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Assist with written pieces for the Department of University Marketing, including press releases, news stories, and Range Rider segments.
- Write, edit, proofread, and help plan news stories and marketing department content.
- Brainstorm and discuss additional editorial and news content.
- Work with the University Marketing team on advertisement content, program and student spotlight articles, and other writing assignments.
