About The Position

This is a Federal Work Study student job. The Athletic Trainer Aide will assist in all operations of the training room and help provide training services to all athletes. This role involves day-to-day operations in the training room, including laundry, filling water coolers and ice chests, filling and cleaning whirlpools, restocking supplies, filing medical folders, and assisting with ice application on athletes. The position also includes cleaning water coolers and ice chests after practices and games, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (waived for first-semester students).
• Work experience and/or participation in or with athletic training required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must qualify for Federal Work Study.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be asked to become certified in First-Aid and CPR.
• At times, simple first-aid and bandaging of wounds related to athletic competition may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all operations of the training room.
