About The Position

The Athletic Operations Assistant supports game and event operations for American University competitions and special events. The position is available only to enrolled American University students and reports to the Associate Director for Facilities and Events. This is a part-time, non-exempt role expected to work 10–20 hours per week. Compensation is $18.40 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be an enrolled American University student.

Responsibilities

• Assist with game-day and event operations, including setup, preparation, and support during competitions and special events.
• Set up and tear down athletic facilities for games, practices, meetings, camps, clinics, and other events.
• Assist with competition facility preparation, including equipment, signage, seating, tables, and other event needs.
• Provide support during home athletic competitions and other events as assigned.
• Perform other facility and event operations duties as assigned.
