About The Position

Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Three vibrant, pedestrian-friendly village areas host lodging, retail outlets, restaurants, bars, and family activities. During the winter months, Copper's world-class terrain offers skiing and riding for all ages and abilities. Each summer, the mountain transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone seeking a genuine Colorado experience. Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility. This role involves performing tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the athletic club front desk, ensuring the highest degree of customer satisfaction. The position requires a friendly and welcoming demeanor, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage various front desk and club operational duties. This is a seasonal position for the Winter 26/27 season.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work early morning and late evening hours while staying alert and focused.
  • Extended periods of standing is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Comfortable working alone.
  • Must be friendly, outgoing and enjoy a high degree of customer contact.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work unsupervised while still maintaining Copper Mountains high level of Guest service.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service oriented position, preferably in an athletic club and/or spa or hotel/resort setting.
  • Cash handling and general computer skills important.
  • Knowledge of Visual One, Excel, Publisher and Word preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
  • CPR/first aid training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in/out members and guests in a friendly, helpful, and welcoming manner.
  • Verify club status for lodging guests and membership status for all members.
  • Interact with members and guests in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Offer clear directions including use of locker key and location of locker rooms, pool, and cardio equipment to all lodging guests.
  • Provide exceptional guest service by ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for members and guests.
  • Maintain key security and coordinate dispensing of lockers.
  • Maintain an organized pro shop, front desk, storage room, and lobby area.
  • Monitor towel bin and locker room cleanliness.
  • Maintain a fully stocked towel supply and fold towels as needed.
  • Wipe down weight equipment daily; clean racquetball courts as needed.
  • Price and sell pro shop merchandise.
  • Assist the front desk foreman in maintaining a fully stocked pro shop.
  • Up sell massage & facials.
  • Schedule and coordinate massage, facial and racquetball court appointments accurately.
  • Open and close club, performing all procedures outlined in the front desk operations manual.
  • Monitor and secure adequate front desk and operations supplies.
  • Complete daily sales report accurately, reconciling cash, receipts, and a $200 bank.
  • Report maintenance needs, member/guest comments and concerns to appropriate manager or supervisor.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to function as part of a team.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule throughout entire employment including holidays.
  • Assist foreman, club supervisor in training new front desk personnel.
  • Assist foreman, club supervisor and manager with special tasks and assignments as needed, such as organizing member contests or updating bulletin boards.
  • Promote open and positive lines of communication among fellow staff members.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all club memberships, products, and programs making appropriate recommendations for prospective members.
  • Complete the membership process and membership applications accurately.
  • Actively promote club programs and services to members and guests.
  • Act as an ambassador for our club programs as well as for Copper Mountain Resort.
  • Execute club emergency plan when necessary.
  • Assist management in emergency situations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Pool, Hot Tubs, Sauna, Steam Rooms when needed.
  • Attend regular staff meetings.
  • High degree of contact with members, guests, and homeowners.
  • Often in contact with front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, and other Copper Mountain departments.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper "culture" with our guests and employees.
  • Upholds the most professional image.
  • Continually strives to exceed our guest's expectations and create memories for our guests and staff.
