About The Position

The ATE Field Technician is a mobile, field-based role providing diagnostic, programming, and calibration services to Crash Champions locations. The technician travels daily to customer sites and is responsible for delivering safe, accurate service and strong customer support. Services must follow OEM standards and company policies, with recommendations and documentation reflecting integrity and ensuring that only required services are performed.

Requirements

2–5+ years of automotive experience servicing and diagnosing a wide range of vehicle systems.
Strong working knowledge of ADAS and electrical services, including level 1–3 calibrations, programming, diagnostics, and wire or connector repair.
Proficiency with electrical diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, power probes, and resistors.
Ability to perform and interpret vehicle health scans using factory and non-factory tools.
Skill in reading and interpreting OEM and aftermarket service information and wiring schematics.
Ability to program vehicle modules using factory or approved non-factory software.
Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills to explain technical findings.
Technological proficiency with platforms such as Outlook, Teams, and Word.
Strong work ethic, urgency, self-motivation, and a positive, professional representation of the ATE brand.
Willingness to continuously learn, develop new skills, and grow within the role.
Ability to work independently in fast-paced shop environments.
Willingness and ability to travel daily to local or regional service locations using a company-provided vehicle.
Availability to work Saturdays on a rotating basis, typically every other Saturday from 9 AM to 12 PM or as scheduled, and flexibility to support continuous market coverage.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in automotive shop environments.

Responsibilities

Deliver fast and accurate ATE service support to internal and external customers.
Travel daily to assigned service locations in a company-provided vehicle.
Perform vehicle diagnostics, calibrations, programming, scanning, and wire or connector repairs.
Document services clearly, ensure services—particularly calibrations—are required under OEM guidelines, and obtain approval before performing them in accordance with company policies.
Conduct test drives to verify system functionality and confirm repair outcomes.
Manage difficult customer situations transparently and urgently; communicate promptly and professionally with shops and internal stakeholders; escalate concerns when needed.
Participate in assigned team meetings and training sessions.
Care for, maintain, and secure ATE-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Stay current on ATE and OEM protocols through required training and Champions Connect updates.
Meet productivity and quality goals while traveling to service locations.
Accurately manage documentation and complete final billing before leaving each site, in accordance with MCP guidelines.
Work the assigned schedule, including Saturday coverage as required by market needs, and maintain flexible availability across assigned business days.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
