About The Position

The ATE Field Technician is a mobile, field-based role providing diagnostic, programming, and calibration services to Crash Champions locations. Technicians travel daily to assigned customer sites and are responsible for delivering accurate, safe, and high-quality work while upholding ATE’s customer-service standards. Services must be recommended and documented with integrity, and performed only when required by OEM standards and approved in accordance with company policies. The role includes diagnosing and servicing vehicle systems, conducting calibrations and programming, verifying repairs through test drives, maintaining service records, and completing final billing at the site. Technicians work independently in shop environments, use a company-provided vehicle, and participate in assigned meetings and training. The schedule includes rotating Saturday coverage as market needs require.

Requirements

2–5+ years of automotive experience servicing and diagnosing a wide range of vehicle systems.
Strong working knowledge of ADAS and electrical services, including levels 1–3 calibrations, programming, diagnostics, and wire or connector repair.
Proficiency with electrical diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, power probes, and resistors.
Ability to perform and interpret vehicle health scans using factory and non-factory tools.
Skill in reading and interpreting OEM and aftermarket service information and wiring schematics.
Ability to program vehicle modules using factory or approved non-factory software.
Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills for explaining technical findings.
Technological proficiency, including platforms such as Outlook, Teams, and Word.
Strong work ethic, urgency, self-motivation, and a positive, professional representation of the ATE brand.
Willingness to continue learning, develop new skills, and grow within the role.
Ability to work independently in fast-paced shop environments.
Willingness and ability to travel daily to local or regional service locations using a company-provided vehicle.
Saturday availability on a rotating basis, typically every other Saturday from 9 AM to 12 PM or as scheduled; flexible Saturday availability is required to ensure market coverage.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in automotive shop environments.

Responsibilities

Deliver fast and accurate ATE service support to internal and external customers.
Travel daily to assigned service locations in a company-provided vehicle.
Perform vehicle diagnostics, calibrations, programming, scanning, and wire or connector repairs.
Ensure services, particularly calibrations, are documented, required by OEM guidelines, and approved before execution in accordance with company policies.
Conduct test drives to verify system functionality and successful repair outcomes.
Manage difficult situations transparently and with urgency; communicate promptly and professionally with shops and internal stakeholders; escalate concerns when needed.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions as assigned.
Care for, maintain, and secure ATE-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Stay current on ATE and OEM protocols through required training and Champions Connect updates.
Meet productivity and quality goals while traveling to service locations.
Accurately manage documentation and complete final billing before leaving each site, in accordance with MCP guidelines.
Work the assigned schedule, including Saturday coverage as required by market needs, and maintain flexible availability across assigned business days.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
