About The Position

Visiting Angels of Lindsay is hiring a reliable, compassionate, and dependable At Home Senior Caregiver to provide non-medical home care assistance to adults and seniors in the Lindsay, California area. The locally owned and operated home care franchise helps seniors age gracefully in their own homes. Caregivers provide personal care, companionship, meal assistance, light housekeeping, transportation, and medication reminders, while observing and reporting changes in clients’ conditions. The role requires communicating availability to the Scheduler and working with minimal supervision. The agency seeks to match caregivers with clients based on individual needs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience; 2 years is a plus.
• Strong professionalism and reliability.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Personal, reliable transportation to and from shifts.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Dementia or Alzheimer’s experience.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) qualification.
• 2 years of caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to the client.
• Provide continuous companionship while on duty.
• Assist with meal planning, food purchases, and food preparation.
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen after meals.
• Help the client maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment while providing non-medical care.
• Observe the client’s general physical, emotional, and mental condition and report changes.
• Keep appropriate records of activities in the client’s home.
• Promote the client’s sense of security and protect them, as much as possible, from harm related to the effects of their illness.
• Assist the client as needed, excluding medical care; duties include light housekeeping, transportation, and medication reminders.
• Communicate work availability to the Scheduler weekly or as required.
• Comply with all agency policies.
