About The Position

CLA is hiring an Assurance Senior to join its fast-growing Agriculture, Food and Beverage (AFB) practice in a Northern California office. The role performs audit and accounting procedures, including work on industry-specific issues and complex areas or transactions, and prepares financial statements and related reports. The Assurance Senior also coordinates and reviews staff work, mentors team members, keeps engagement leadership informed, and communicates with clients to support timely engagement completion. Client-site travel is required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant audit experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Ability to travel to client sites.

Nice To Haves

• Eligible to sit for the CPA examination.
• Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm.
• Agriculture, food, or beverage experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures involving industry-specific issues.
• Audit complex areas or transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
• Schedule, delegate, and review the work of staff.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff.
• Keep the Manager or Principal informed of engagement status and issues.
• Proactively interact and communicate with clients to gather information and support timely engagement wrap-up.
