Assurance Senior Associate [Affordable Housing Group]
About The Position
CohnReznick is hiring an Assurance Senior Associate to join its Affordable Housing Group in the New York office. The position is hybrid, with professionals encouraged to work in person about three days per week on average; the team determines the specific cadence. The role supports affordable housing clients within CohnReznick’s real estate practice and works alongside Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. The Senior Associate serves as an engagement lead for specific client accounts, oversees engagement planning and delivery, contributes to proposals, and manages and coaches staff associates and interns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation or ability to sit for the CPA exam(s).
- At least 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
- Knowledge of audit software.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of ProSystem Fx.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts.
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
- Develop detailed engagement work plans.
- Illustrate budgets and schedules.
- Actively participate in proposals.
- Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback.
