About The Position

Cohen & Co’s Assurance internship provides hands-on experience in professional services, including client work, technical training, and opportunities to build relationships with peers and firm leaders. Interns participate in real audit work, perform testing, assist with reporting, and help ensure compliance across engagements. They receive ongoing feedback to strengthen technical skills and professional development, and may take part in firm-wide initiatives such as business development, recruitment, diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, and community service.

The internship runs from early June to early August 2028. Full-time opportunities are 32–40 hours per week; part-time opportunities are at least 20–25 hours per week. Interns have one week off during the firm’s Pencils Down Week, subject to change; this week is unpaid for interns.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
• Successfully complete introductory accounting coursework and at least one intermediate accounting course before the internship program start date.

Nice To Haves

• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Be pursuing the required credit hours to sit for the CPA Exam.
