About The Position

This role is for an Affordable Housing/Tax Credit Assistant Community Manager at Western National Group/Western National Property Management. Requirements

  • Current or previous multifamily property management experience
  • Previous background as an Affordable Housing/Tax Credit Assistant Community Manager or Leasing Manager
  • Well versed in Affordable Housing
  • Computer skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial statements, budget preparation, and monthly reporting
  • Understanding of maintenance operations, landlord tenant law, and fair employment and housing laws
  • Yardi Voyager experience
  • College degree

Responsibilities

  • Determining eligibility for affordable housing programs
  • Securing 3rd party verifications
  • Calculating household incomes to determine eligibility
  • Completing Tenant Income Certifications
  • Completing compliance reports as required by the Regulatory Agreement
  • Assisting with financial statements, budget preparation, and monthly reporting
  • Understanding maintenance operations, landlord tenant law, and fair employment and housing laws
  • Working with the Community Manager and maintenance team
  • Supporting daily operations and financial performance of the community
  • Optimizing net operating income
  • Carrying out the objectives of ownership
