This role involves actively participating in, training, and mentoring food service department crew members to enthusiastically demonstrate, educate, and sell in-store delicatessen products. The position requires preparing delicatessen products, assisting with leadership of crew members, conducting daily team huddles, ordering products and supplies, writing daily plans and weekly work schedules, ensuring merchandise rotation and display maintenance, coordinating POS maintenance, stocking displays, maintaining records for damaged/spoiled merchandise, and complying with all food and workplace safety rules and regulations. The role also involves ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and sanitation of the work area and equipment, acquiring product knowledge across departments, and staying updated on weekly specials and promotions to create a delightful guest experience. A team-oriented work environment that inspires collaboration and cooperation is essential. The store operates seven days a week, requiring potential weekend, holiday, and shift work. Additionally, the role requires joining a labor union.
