About The Position

The Energy practice focuses on creating value for clients by bringing deep industry knowledge and advanced problem-solving capabilities to address strategic and operational challenges in the energy sector. This includes assisting clients with market opportunities, strategic planning, customer satisfaction, and operational optimization. Requirements

  • At least 4-6 years of relevant consulting or industry experience in energy-related sectors.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience in asset-intensive or operational environments.
  • Ability to work across multiple segments of the energy value chain.
  • Depth in energy & commodities — oil, gas/LNG, power.
  • Strategic mindset and transformation credentials; experience shaping and leading change (operating models, risk frameworks, commercial strategy).
  • Strong quantitative foundation (derivatives, risk measurement).
  • Executive presence and client-facing potential.
  • Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings.
  • Ability to take initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and apply existing ones.
  • Creativity and ability to come up with novel ideas to solve client problems.
  • Aptitude for analytical work, including analyzing large datasets and identifying key issues in complex challenges.
  • Existing US work authorization (firm requirement).

Nice To Haves

  • Metals or ags experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with how AI/ML is being applied in trading and risk is a plus.
  • Houston strongly preferred. NYC/Chicago candidates considered if open to Houston travel or relocation.

Responsibilities

  • Break down complex problems into discrete tasks.

  • Plan and execute analysis.
  • Identify core issues in complex analyses to craft suitable recommendations.
  • Work side by side with clients and project team members to move projects forward.
