About The Position

The Associate position at California Chicken Café involves preparing the restaurant's famous scratch-made menu items accurately and efficiently. This role requires maintaining a positive and friendly work environment, adhering to company core values, and ensuring food orders are made and packaged correctly. Associates will use various appliances to prep and process food, store and label items according to health regulations, and follow recipes precisely. A clean, sanitized, and well-stocked restaurant is essential, along with strong communication regarding any issues with food quality, equipment, or the work environment. Adherence to all company policies and procedures is expected, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must attend and pass California Chicken Café Road to Success class within first month of hire
1+ years of previous restaurant experience preferred
Speak, read, and write English fluently
Passion for food and hospitality
Friendly, upbeat, and cooperative
Must enjoy and succeed in a fast-paced environment
Must pass Food Handler course and test in compliance with California state law requirements
Fully documented to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Maintain a positive and friendly work environment while adhering and applying the company’s core values
Make and package guest food orders
Use manual or electronic appliances to prep and process food
Store and label foods according to Health Department regulations and company policy
Read, comprehend, and execute recipes
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and properly stocked restaurant
