About The Position

The Associate role at California Chicken Cafe - Los Feliz is responsible for preparing the restaurant's scratch-made menu items accurately and efficiently. This involves maintaining a positive work environment, preparing and packaging food orders, adhering to food storage and labeling regulations, executing recipes, and ensuring a clean and stocked restaurant. The role also requires strong communication regarding any issues with food quality, equipment, or the work environment, and adherence to all company policies.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must attend and pass California Chicken Café Road to Success class within first month of hire.
1+ years of previous restaurant experience preferred.
Speak, read, and write English fluently.
Passionate about food and hospitality.
Friendly, upbeat, and cooperative.
Must enjoy and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Must pass Food Handler course and test in compliance with California state law requirements.
Fully documented to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Prepare California Chicken Café's famous scratch made menu items accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a positive and friendly work environment while adhering and applying the company’s core values.
Make and package guest food orders.
Use manual or electronic appliances to prep and process food.
Store and label foods according to Health Department regulations and company policy.
Read, comprehend, and execute recipes.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and properly stocked restaurant.
Strong communication regarding any issues with food quality, equipment, and work environment.
Read and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
